Your questions before you come
Do I need a referral from my dentist to book an appointment?
No. You can book directly, without being referred by another practitioner. The practice does not provide general dentistry: routine care remains with your usual dentist.
Is the practice INAMI-contracted (conventionné)?
No, Cabinet Amafil is not conventionné. Fees are given to you before any treatment begins: from the first consultation you receive a detailed estimate for periodontal treatment and implants.
How much does a consultation cost?
The consultation costs €74 (additional examinations not included). It covers the periodontal examination, the diagnosis and an explanation of the treatment plan. It is partly reimbursed by your health insurance fund. If treatment is needed, you leave this first consultation with a detailed estimate.
Are treatments reimbursed?
Part of periodontal care is reimbursed by the Belgian health insurance fund (mutuelle). At the first consultation we tell you what is reimbursable in your situation. We cannot, however, guarantee reimbursement: only your health insurance fund or your private insurer can confirm it.
Which languages can I be seen in?
Consultations and the front desk are in French, English and Spanish.
